We have been very busy these days!! The holiday season this year was busy and so much fun. We spent a lot of time with family & friends, but we also worked on creating traditions of our own. It was a very special time in our little family and our little treasure brought us a lot of joy.
The holiday season wasn’t without a few mishaps. We had our first trip to the emergency room when Alison got a finger crushed in a bedroom door. She had a chip fracture & stitches were required, but she is healing great and the nail will hopefully regrow completely in 6 months. We also had plenty of tumbles & bruises, but I hear that’s all part of raising a toddler. I’m trying to get used to it. :)
Each day, Alison is revealing more of her personality and preferences. We have quickly learned the difference between a real and a fake cry, what food she likes/dislikes and that tickling is the best form of distraction. She is transitioning into 1 nap a day, which has freed up our schedule for longer play dates and errands. Her most commonly used words are bye-bye, cracker, mama, dada, G-pa, papa, all d (all done), buh-buh (baby) peez (please) & some animal noises. Her favorite word is “Hi” and she says it with such enthusiasm that it always makes us smile.
