Easter celebration with Grandpa and Grandma included some yummy food, an Easter egg hunt, Skut bike riding and lots of playing, indoors and out!
Pictures with Papa and Nonna, otherwise known as “PapaNonna.” ;)
Finally… Easter photos!
On Easter weekend we met Papa & Nonna at Deepwood Estates to *attempt* some photos of the girls and family photos. As you can see, we’re already struggling to find a photo where everyone is looking the same direction, smiling, eyes open and not moving!
I don’t know what it is about a little girl in a pretty, Easter dress, but Alison couldn’t stop running! She was all over that garden, smelling flowers, dancing around the gazebo and jumping through arbors. Kind of reminds me of someone else I know who as a child went crazy in pretty dresses as well. ;)

Special time with Daddy
Today was a big day for Hannah and Alison. Hannah had a hip ultrasound and appointment with an orthopedic surgeon regarding her hip dysplasia. During her ultrasound, Alison explored OHSU with Daddy. They rode the tram (so much fun!!) and then the streetcar around Portland. Evidently, Alison charmed everyone she saw. :) JD and Alison came back to meet us in the waiting room between appointments for some playtime and lunch. Doernbecher Children’s Hospital has so many cool activities in their waiting rooms. Alison had fun playing and exploring. It was a very big day for everyone! I’m hoping to grab a nap before the dinner rush. :)

Mother’s Day
Alison,
I love “sing song, pray, talk about day.”
I love seeing your creativity blossom with each game, craft and pretend play.
I love watching your face light up when I suggest that we go outside.
I love talking with you about everything we see when we’re outside.
I love how you put your shoes on the wrong foot and your pants on backwards.
I love seeing you be such a kind and caring mommy to your Elmo.
I love watching you play with kids.
I love to hear your voice in the morning, calling for me to come in and see you.
I love our good morning hugs.
I love our time together in the kitchen.
I love watching you work so hard at learning new skills.
I love being your playmate and wouldn’t trade our time together for anything.
I love being your mommy.

Alison loves puzzles! Her latest favorite is a 48-piece Cars puzzle of Lightening McQueen and Mater. Every single day she asks me to help her put the puzzle together at least twice. Most days we work on it together, but today I sat back and watched her put together that ENTIRE puzzle.
